yeah i don't want to go above 30-35 either we have a total of 12 people as well plus our 3 sets of parents and he has 3 brothers who are not in the BP and i really FH doesn't suggest we invite his GM wives and kids - but I don't know how that works.

I haven't really thought about it but I would assume we are gonna be paying $50 per person

my mom and i were just talking about this today. i think it depends on where we have it. i dont wanna spend more than 40 or 50 pp. but the hard part is going to be finding a place cuz both of us are drawing blanks right now

Maybe look into Tutto Pazzo in Huntington, I will try to think of more because for our E-PArty I had a huge list of places in the Huntington area and now that is the only one I can think of!

You are inviting the Bp with dates to the RH dinner?

of course. any RD i have ever been to we were always invited with dates, especially if they are married, engaged or in a serious relationship. i believe that's the standard etiquette

I love that place! I did think of having it there but then we decided we didn't want to do italian food. Lombardi's (our reception) is all really good italian food so we're looking for something different
and i'm looking for places from huntington all the way out towards port jeff...doesnt matter. we thought of danfords maybe but its expensive i think

Re: I know it is early but..
i think it really depends on the location...for instance my hall said we could come do a trial run there...and its all the way in st. james so we could 1- have the RD out there or 2-come back closer to home...we're leaning towards coming closer to home so if people drink it wont be a bad ride home

Re: I know it is early but..
my fmil is paying for that and she already has a place in mind and its really not that much money. so she will be paying 35 pp.

I was thinking around $60. Hard to find things much cheaper that also include an open bar.

Our church is right by our house but most of FH GM are family and they have to travel so they might have to stay the weekend anyone.
Anywhere we would go to eat wouldn't e more than a 20 min ride anyway
I would like to go to a mexican place

Re: I know it is early but..
mexican is a nice idea...its different than your typical italian..i thought of something like that as well. im just afraid you're gonna have a few people who hate it and are miserable with nothing to eat
as for the bar...i dont want to do open bar..i just want beer and wine....its a RD, so i dont think they need hard liquor. most RD's ive been to it was beer and wine and if you want liquor then you pay yourself
