I know it's not a huge deal but I'm still really ANNOYED with FH

FH and I put together a couple of invites (one set to my parents and one to my brother) and took them to the post office on saturday. We had a whole conversation about hand canceling with the man at the desk and he said it was no problem to hand cancel the rest of them when they were ready.

I had a hair/makeup trial today so FH said he would mail our invites.

I just asked him if they were hand canceled and he had NO CLUE what that was.

Did we not go to the post office on saturday and have a whole conversation and have the man DO IT IN FRONT OF OUR FACE???

I was just dumbfounded. He just 'threw them in the bin.'

I KNOW it's not the end of the world and I'm sure they are fine but I put such extra care on them. We even sealed them with wax. I just wanted them hand canceled and didn't think I had to write it on FH's hand for him to remember!!!!!

i didn't even ask when I went, and they did it (i saw how the invitations were delivered to some family members)

Hopefully the post office will hand cancel them anyway - especially with the wax seal being fragile.

They might, u can also call them up or stop in, if it was just recently and be like hey theres a big pile of invites can u hand cancel them

Oh I would be annoyed, too!

I am sure they will come out ok, though!

When my mom went yesterday she asked to hand cancel them, and the guy told her the envelopes didn't need to be hand cancelled- that they would be fine.

My mom was like 'no waaaaaaaay' and demanded the stamp!

So even if he asked for it, who knows if he would have been swayed by misguided postal employees

Thanks...he just called and apologized. He thought I was talking about applying the postage stamps on the envelope by hand. Which in the picture above, he is doing.

I don't know if I want to laugh or scream

FHs are so adorable but clueless. My ex-husband thought back when we were registering for formal china that we were picking out the plates people would be eating off of at the wedding. Duh!

I have explained to my FH 3 times about hand cancelling...he still doesn't remember when I mention it....lol...its totally a guy thing...I am sure your invites will be fine don't worry!
