I know this may be a stupid question

I am having a unity candle during the ceremony and I would like to know who brings the lighter or matches to light the candle. Is there something special you use that day?

In the Catholic faith, the Easter Candle is pre-lit and the mothers light their two side candles from that. To make things easy, perhaps there can be a book of matches next to the entire set up for the unity candle?

If you pre-light the wicks on all three candles, it will make it MUCH easier for them to be lit during the ceremony.

Our moms will light ours from a candle on the altar, since were getting married in a church. Not sure how it works if you get married at the RH.
