I know this should be on the TTC board but....

I just went to the doctor last night,(that's why I'm up at this hour) Anyway I have an upper respatory infection. But they won't give me any medicine with codien in it, (Sorry can't spell) cause I'm in the beginning of TTC. They recommended
Vicks44 and Robitusin DM


I really want to call them back today and say I NEED this medicine. My chest is soo tight, from my asthma. Please if anyone has info on this please let me know.

Do you normally take an inhaled steroid? That might help. I know Prednisone would definitely help but I am sure they would have given you that if they could have. From what I have read, inhalers are ok when you are TTC (and in my case, I really need mine) because so little gets into the bloodstream.

I have very bad asthma and Advair (the 500/50 strength) works very well for me.

I don't know how much those OTC things will help with the tightness from your asthma. In my experience, when I was that tight, I needed a nebulizer treatment (I have one at home) and an oral steriod. You should really call your doctor. Feel better!
