I KNOW when it is!!!!

Me and FH got invited to his cousin's daughter's Sweet 16 on November 13th. I told my mother about it in passing and she became very upset. I asked her what was wrong, and she's like, 'I can't tell you'. I'm said, 'come on, you can tell me anything'. She said that my shower is on the same day and she doesn't know what to do! She was crying and said that the invites must have crossed in the mail with FH's cousin's invites. Also that most of FH's family will go to the Sweet 16 and not my shower.

FH called his cousin and, since she is not close with her family at all, did not invite them to the Sweet 16. This was great news, and I told my mother and she feels alot better. She begged me to act surprised! I feel bad that I know about it, but what can you do? Of all days for the Sweet 16, it had to be on my day! LOL, oh well.....So, November 13 is my big day!!!

Aww, I'm sorry you found out but I'm glad it all worked out so your mom isn't upset anymore. Now you have to start practicing your 'surprised' face!

Congrats! Start practicing your surprised look!! I also knew when my shower was (mainly because I WANTED to know and didn't want a surprise shower). But when I got there, I was just as excited and had that overwhelmed feeling (a good one!) as I probably would have had, had it been a surprise. I was just so elated to see all my friends and family in one place and brought my wedding that much closer to me and made it that much REAL!

BTW - 11/13 is a great day for a shower... THAT'S MY WEDDING DAY!!!

I just feel bad because she is trying so hard (my BM, too) to give me a nice shower (which I'm sure it will be and I keep telling her that!) and she didn't want me to know about it. I'm a pretty good actress, though!
