ok so ive been dying to do an overnight trip with FH since i start school next month and then wont be able to get any days off to go on a road trip. i was going to surprise him with Presidents day up at Foxwoods.. but they are SOLD OUT.. and mohegan sun is 4x's the price.. anyone have any ideas??? i want to do just one night... not more then 100. i know sounds impossible... can someone help?

Did you try AC, you can stay somewhere cheap there...Poconos is a good idea too
That weekend is goin to be hurt. What if you just rent a room at a really nice hotel. Or go into the city?
i dont know thats just the only day i can get off from work. this STINKS!!.. AC. maybe i can get a room down there.. anyone know of a good hotel? never been there!

How about Lancaster PA? Willow Valley. It is beautiful there. FH & I were just there this past October & I loved it. www.willowvalley.com

sorry to crash...but I stayed at the Tropicana in AC for my bday in Oct. The price was about $300 for the room for the night. But I booked it 3 months in advanced. I wasnt crazy about paying that price so about 2 weeks before my bday I cancelled my reservations. But my friend who went with me she went back on the website and found another room there for $100 for the night...I guess since it was only 2 weeks away from booking and they had a special going on![]()
So it was only $100 for the night...and so much to do in that hotel...such great places to eat shop gamble and you dont even have to leave the hotel!!!

see FH family owns a house on a lake (engagment pics.. shows pics) its awesome and FREE but its closed for the winter... so thanks for the ideas girls!
You can go to Hunter Mt or something like that w/a nice outdoor hot tub ...it s a nice getaway. I was going to suggest the Tropicana too! Try AC =) always fun!
whatever you do, do not stay at the renaissance hotel in AC. Worst experience of my life, I dont' care how cheap they quote you.
we went there for a friends birthday and we stayed in the hotel with another couple and they got the nice bed an we got the futon which had (what appeared to be) cum stains all over it. I think I might be sick just thinking about it.
We once did a night at the Montauk Manor and went to the light house and out to dinner. It was really nice. Not that expensive
As a teacher, I wanted to do the samething. POCONOS AND ATLANTIC CITY were sold out or 4x the price..what else is therE?
