yesterday, FH was laying on the couch so I thought Id give him a pillow... I brought it over, he gave me a 'thanks sweetie!!!'... I went to kiss his forehead and at the same time he sat right up to adjust the pillow.

His skull slams into my nose.... it starts GUSHING blood, he is running around with towels and ice packs and I had a hand full of blood that I caught from my nose.
Im pretty sure its not broken, but it IS a little black and blue.
Im so worried people are going to think Im an abused fiance, or that I got into a raunchy bar fight or something. Do I procatively make jokes about it, or just hope that people don't notice? Im so embarassed!!

Haha..this reminded me of my recent nose job. I had it done right before I started at my new job. I didnt think I would bruise around the eyes as much as I did (they had to re-break my nose) and my company is FAA regulated, so we have to have drug tests. I went to the Doctor to have the test and while I'm sitting on the examining table she turns to me and says 'so, ummmm...is everything okay at home?' and I (not even realizing what she's getting at) say 'yea, why?', She says 'what happened to your eyes...you've got some pretty bad bruising. Just wanted to make sure your fiance isnt...you know....how is his temper?' I of course told her that I just had a nose job and she started laughing when she realized how swollen my nose was too! I came home and told FH the story and he was hysterical....we laugh it off. Its a doctors job to question things like that, but most people wont automatically assume that your FH is beating you just because you have a few bruises. They'll probably just ask what happened

lol we had a similar situation months ago. Isn't the pain surreal? I was bawling any my nose didn't bleed but hurt for a week and my eye looked a little black too. Hope you feel better.

Awww i'm sorry I hope it does'nt hurt much. Telll people the truth, last year FH nad I were playing raquet ball and I turned around and got hit in the face with ball, I had a bruise and my lip had a cut, most people in my office laughed at the story.
