yesterday, FH was laying on the couch so I thought Id give him a pillow... I brought it over, he gave me a 'thanks sweetie!!!'... I went to kiss his forehead and at the same time he sat right up to adjust the pillow.

His skull slams into my nose.... it starts GUSHING blood, he is running around with towels and ice packs and I had a hand full of blood that I caught from my nose.
Im pretty sure its not broken, but it IS a little black and blue.
Im so worried people are going to think Im an abused fiance, or that I got into a raunchy bar fight or something. Do I procatively make jokes about it, or just hope that people don't notice? Im so embarassed!!

AWWWWWW. First of all I'm sorry ur hurt ur nosey!!!.. Accidents happen and as long as you know the truth then thats all that matters. If people ask u what happened then just tell them the truth. They can't just assume!!

I LOVE making up fake stories..like going out and speaking in a fake british accent convincing some druken fool that my Tony Blair is my oldest brother..
I say you tell people that you and Nic have taken up Brazillian street fighting and he clipped your nose while doing one of those foot over the head dancing kicks.

For now: just use a classic line my Uncle coined... when people ask you what happened, just say: 'I don't know, all he said was that I didn't get dinner on the table fast enough.' 'and then BAM, this happened!' hehehehe....
Nothing like a good spousal abuse joke to make your co-workers worry about you and make anonymous complaints to the H.R. Dept!!

Lovely! You guys are so sweet.. Im really not in much pain, its more embarassment. I am so clumsy and I feel like Im dragging FH into my clumsy world!

OMG!!! I'm so sorry to hear that - I would probably just make something ridiculously funny up or I would just tell the truth - I'm ALWAYS injuring myself somehow or another!!! Just laugh it off!!

You could use the classic line of 'You should see the other guy!!!' and then add 'People shouldn't mess with brides!!!' if you notice people kind os staring at you funny....let them wonder! haha...hope you feel better!

a while ago fh and i were just joking around and he was chasing me around the house- well clumsy me fell and scraped my arm into a mirror and i got a awesome scar out of it .... when people ask me what happened i tell them different stories always blaming FH but of course im kidding and they know it

I bruise very easily and am very clutzy...at the moment I have 2 huge bruises on the back of my leg from a boating debacle...but anyway, when I have big bruises and people ask me what happened, I always tell them straight up that FH beats me. Then, if FH is there I wait for him to get all bent out of shape and then I laugh...a little twisted but I get a hoot out of it (not to be construed as I find domestic violence funny), just if you knew my FH and my personalities, it's pretty funny.
