Why are they still around? My FH called me to tell me there are 100s around the beaches, so I took a ride to moses and ocean Pkwy and they are EVERYWHERE. it's Oct, and they should be on their way to mexico. What's happening to the ecosystem?
(I wish I could save them all for my wedding)

Personally, I think the weather pattern has shifted a month. April showers are now in May. February used to be really cold, now it's March. etc.

that is true. they normally hatch in late august, early sept. I hope they make it down

I remember a butterfly frenzy one year in Texas.. THOUSANDS of them. I like butterflies but jeez! I remember trying to get them off my car and causing all sorts of havoc with idiot drivers and kids who were so caught up in the butterflies they'd hurt themselves.
