I'm a homeowner!!!!

We closed today and the first payment is due August 1st!!!

The closing went well.....a few glitches but it all worked out.

Our only complaint was the other lawyer....what an arrogant b*&$#. She never cashed our downpayment check b/c 'she had one of those days'. She was so nasty through the whole thing that FH and I laughed every time she opened her mouth. It was quite an experience.

We don't move in until October (long story) but we're so emotionally drained that it'll take that long to get our strength back :) We drove past 'our' house on the way home......it was so wierd but cool at the same time.

I do have pics but will post them tomorrow (see Jennbaby.....I promised I would.....Shamma will have to help me!!!)

Special note for Curly2003 - advice for you.....make sure you pad your checking account with an extra few thousand JUST IN CASE. Our closing costs were a bit more than what we expected but our lawyer prepared us for it so we were ok.

LOL Tina.......my property is waaaaaaaaay too small to have all of you over.

You'll all have to schedule appointments LOL

Edited to say - you'll all have to come with paintbrushes and Home Depot gift certificates
