We were married at St Cyrils in Sept 01 (yes I am still on this board). I grew up in NB too. Enjoy your planning.

OK...here's my story...
Well, on Christmas he said he owed me my 'big' gift. I thought it might be a ring but then he said it was backordered and UPS needed to ship it so I forgot about it at that point. Then on New Year's Eve we were having a few people over so around 8 PM before everyone came over he told me my gift came and I had to find it. On the dining room table of my apt there were one dozen pink roses and one fake red rose. I pulled the red rose out and he told me to come and sit on the couch. He started saying that he loved me, wanted to spend of our lives together...so on. He then told me to open the box (the red rose was a ring box)...well, I opened it and it was empty!! He said that he didn't have alot of money (he recently changed careers to be a school teacher so he is back in school and student teaching) but that this is what the new year holds. He said he wanted to fill the box in the coming year. I was shocked and excited! He asked if I was disapointed and of course I said I wasn't. But he then got down on his knee, pulled the ring out of his pocket and said, 'Aimee, will you marry me'? I said of course as tears rolled down!! He even called my parents earlier in the day and asked them both for permission! He is so cute!
The ring is beautiful. It is on a thick white gold band with 2 baguettes up the side of the ring with a round center stone...it's so big and sparkly!!
