I'm married - review! Fox Hollow, Colonial Flower Shop, Camelot Limos, Written Confections, Parties Alive, Divine Artistry, Lumara Salon, AJ Ingoglia...
Hello! I didn't post much on this site, but I definitely used it for insight and opinions.I'll try to be concise and quick!
Fox Hollow - A++
The Fox Hollow was perfect in every way. We were in the Garden Terrace room, and in the Briar Fox room for our cocktail hour. Everything was set up perfectly, the food was fantastic (not that I ate very much of it!), and my guests were so pleased with how wonderful everything was. Additionally, our maitre d' Samir was incredible - he was constantly there, making sure we were okay, making sure everything was perfect. My bridal attendant Renee was so great and made sure that I was totally take care of. I truly have NO problems with anything that occurred...it was all perfect.
Colonial Flower Shop - A+
Claudio is a genius when it comes to flowers. He really knows his stuff, and his work is so beautiful. My bouquet was breathtaking, my girls' bouquets were perfect, the bouts, the corsages, the centerpieces - everything was perfect, on time, and flawless.
Camelot Limos - A-
We were very pleased with Camelot - we had a party bus and a 1965 Princess Rolls Royce. The party bus was so much fun and the driver Nick was super nice. The only problem we had was the Rolls - it was beautiful and got my dad and I to the church, but it only went 35 mph, which we did not know. We went to the Planting Fields for our photos, and if we had taken the Rolls (like we planned to), we never would have gotten there! We nixed the Rolls after the reception and hopped on the party bus with our bridal party, which was a good call overall because we had a ton of fun with them.
Written Confections - A++
This is an invitations business, but Diana (owner) has been working in the wedding industry for over 15 years and has started an event planning portion as well. Let me tell you, I COULD NOT have survived without this woman. I am quite anal and obsessive, and she quelled every fear I had, every problem, was so organized, and had everything under control. I mean EVERYTHING. I had a very large bridal party (12 bridesmaids...yeah, I know, shush!) and she controlled them all with perfect ease. Her assistant Stacey was equally as fabulous. Diana was a lifesaver at an extremely reasonable price, and let me tell you, that was the best money we spent in the entire process. Look her up! She is honestly the best.
Parties Alive - A+
I had a wedding with over 200 guests. The entire night, except for when we were eating the main course, approximately 100 of them were on the dance floor at all times - I swear on my life. Rich Harris was our MC, and he was AWESOME. The music was perfect and I was so amazed to see so many people dancing ALL NIGHT LONG. It was awesome. Everything truly went off without a hitch, and we could NOT have been happier. Call Rich today!!
Divine Artistry - Donna Gianfrancesco - A+
Donna is the sweetest woman out there, and she makes you look glamorous without looking like a freaking drag queen like many other artists on this island! She did exactly what I wanted, and I felt like a million bucks. She also did my mom's makeup and a bridesmaid's makeup, and they both looked equally as fabulous. I would confidently go to her again for a special occasion.
Lumara Salon in Massapequa - A+
Not only are their prices great, but the talent there is amazing! I arrived at about 9:05am, and three of my girls were already sitting in chairs getting their hair done. I had about 15 people getting hair done, and we were all out of there right on schedule. They really have their stuff together and know how important it is for a bridal party to be done as quickly and as lovely as possible. I highly recommend them if you have a big BP. I was so, so impressed. Oh, and our hair looked good, too. :)
AJ Ingoglia - A+
AJ is SO FUNNY and such a calm, casual presence on your wedding day. He was early, stayed until the cake cutting, and was a big hit with everyone. He is professional, and as I'm sure you all know, does incredibly beautiful work. He's really a doll, and his work speaks for itself. Book him now, because he books up faster than you could even imagine!
Ted Nghiem Photography - A++++
He's not local, but he's amazing. I wanted a photojournalistic style, and he has it NAILED. Not only is he talented, but he's so chill and NOT a diva. He's located in south Jersey, close to Philly, but my photos are breathtaking and I cannot be happier. His prices are awesome too, and he really takes serious care of you. He loves to travel, so look him up!
Our wedding was amazing in every way - I really can't believe how perfectly everything went. Hope some of these reviews help you out, future brides!
