I'm Starting to Get Stressed Out About Choosing Vendors and Costs!

My wedding won't be until next November, but I am already stressing about how much the cost of things will be. For example, I called up Duet and Patken for photography, and their packages are basically around $2000. Even Queens Bridal Center, who I thought would be cheaper, their packages with proofs start around $1595. I thought since I wasn't getting a videographer, it would only be around $1000, but obviously I know nothing about this. Please, please recommend to me inexpensive vendors you've used. Inexpensive as not as much as most others are. Limo, DJ, photographer, anything, thanks!

My DJ is less than all the others..I'm paying under $1000 unless I add the CH which is an extra $250. His name is DJ Glenn Passarelli, WGJP Productions. His # is (631) 331-4114...just tell him you're on a budget and you were referred by me. He did my best friends wedding 6 years ago and he remembered everything about their wedding.

im an Oct 04 bride. Those prices do get scary. I am on a budget of 18k. So far so good. I picked through deals on my dress and other things I could. Most of what I paid out for, I wanted it that way. Im also saving tons by buying little stuff via ebay. (tiara, veil, shoes, petticoat, cake topper, cake cutter... stuff like that. )

Either way, it's expensive, just set up a budget and really stick to it. You can find a way.

Remember too, starting early gives you longer to pay it off.

True. I just have NO money saved at this point b/c I'm trying to pay off my credit card first.

Thanks for the flowers rec. I'm lucky that my parents are giving me about 5-6000 towards reception, and my fiance's parents will pay for flowers. But I am still very poor.

Try Hilite photographers in Westbury and Burtons Bridal for flowers and your dress.

try libride2be.com- they have vendors that dont charge as much because they are smaller companies- We are using Aristocrat Productions for a Dj and they start out at 800- standard package I chose a photographer by the name of Paul Kloc packages start at 800 and IMO has take nice pics and me and my FH liked him there are many reasonable vendors out there search all the websites -you can also get reception packages that include everything. I dont know where you live but if you attend the bridal expos you can got so much info there.

just prioritize for what you need and what you can do without, or get lesser of.

I am surprised at queens bridal. I got a much lower quote when I went there (lindenhrust location)

Royalty limo gave me a little lower quote too. (I went with ultimate for better package/service reassurance!!!)

Jack and rose lower quote and he proved his quality to me when my corasgue is still beautiful 6 days later!!!!!

dress - check out lidias in copaigue. They lowered the price, because I could have gotten it cheaper.

Be creative too!!!!

NJL limo gave me a quote a couple hundred less than all others... go to limos.com and you can get quotes from a bunch of places(including them)...
