This sounds DELICIOUS...but, too much sugar for me! I wonder if you can substitute Splenda for the sugar???

Claud, I dont see why you couldnt substitute. Even though it had a cup of sugar, it was'nt overly sweet.

Re: I made a chocolate meringue pie last night
Hi! I plan on making this real soon. Your recipe sounded sooo good! Question, did you have to bake the already made 9 inch pie crust at all before you put the filling inside? Or did you leave it the way it is as you bought it? I'm only asking because you wrote to pour the mix into a baked pie shell.
Also, after you put the mix into the pie shell, did you immediately pour the meringue filling over that or did you first bake the filling in the pie crust and then added the meringue and baked again? If so, how long do you bake for each?
Lastly, how long did you chill it for? You didn't put it in the refrigerator right?
Thanks!

Claud, anything that needs sugar I do not see why not you can't use Splenda. You should def try it. My SIL makes all kinds of things and substitutes with Splenda and it comes out delicious. Some times these desserts you can also cut down on the sugar because its usually too sweet. I do this sometimes.
