I will be attempting to do a TON of DIY for this wedding since it is the only way I can afford all the details I want. And to make the most of my money and keep from going crazy I am in the process of making samples of each thing so I can gauge how much time/material I will need and then I can shop around for supplies to keep the cost for each project down. DIY Crazy I tell ya.
Well I've just completed My first Sample!!
Since our wedding is the 4th of July, and FH and I are trying to channel the whole family BBQ vibe I knew a Sparkler Send Off was a Must. Here is the sample:

I will add pics of other samples as I crank them out...because I am just too damn giddy and excited not to share them!! Anyone else out there going DIY Crazy?

I'm back at it!
Found this idea online and I just had to try it. So glad, because I am ecstatic with the results! This is how we will let our guests know the instagram hashtag to use so all my guest's pictures will be in one place!
I think I will put it next to the programs so as people arrive to the ceremony they will see it.

everything looks amazing. I am a fellow DIY'er and as a word of advice, Michael's can get pretty pricey even with coupons. I noticed that certain things (where applicable) are more affordable at places like Party City. I've walked out of Michaels spending $100 not even knowing what I bought, lol.

Oh for sure! Michaels is the worst! I like AC Moore but it's sometimes hard to find stuff. I refuse to pay full price for anything in general. Coupons baby! lol
