I might as well ask...

I might as well ask...

So at my wedding one of my BM whose ex boyfriend was invited (with a guest, we ain't in high school anymore, grow up!) Flipped out when he came up to her to say hi (well to be fair came up to her table to sya hi to everyone) WITHOUT his girlfriend...flipped on him, told him to get the F**K away from her and then proceeded to go up to his girlfriend and spit her drink in her face...my friend and his girlfriend had to leave..

DH says I should give her the chance to explain...I say I should say get to steppin! Am I being unreasonable? it really didn't cause a HUGE scene but my father had to eat two plates because my friend had to leave..

Just wanted to ask opinions before I called the girl (or didnt!)

Wow--that is some drama!

This is a toughie. Usually I would try to stay out of it as much as possible, but that was very rude and inappropriate of her. I would probably talk to her about it. It's over and she can't take it back, but she has to know that that kind of behavior is not right for an adult and that it was even worse that she did it at such a function--you guys weren't in some random bar drunk.

You could give her the chance to explain...but I doubt there's a good enough reason to make you accept her behavior at a formal affair. Even if he did something horrible to her, there's a time and a place for everything.

Obviously she's a close friend or she wouldn't be a BM, maybe she had a moment of insanity?

Its a sticky situation- Good Luck!

I'm sorry but we are all supposed to be adults and that is uncalled for!!!

What did his girlfriend ever do to deserve being spit at!! That is completely direspectful.

Plus your friend and his girlfriend had to leave because of her.

Drunk or not that behavior is unacceptable! I can't think of an excuse that is legit for that behavior

And your Dad is a champ for eating two plates!

hmmm...I think I would be mad as you know what...Its a thing called maturity! It was your wedding and there was no need for her to act like that! I think I would give it some time for yourself to cool off then maybe talk to her because if I was you, right now talking to her would just get me more mad.

My best friend is getting married and wanted to have her MOH, me and my husbands ex in her wedding party. I told her, she has nothing to worry about, its her wedding day and though I'm not friends with this girl, I would be nice and civil to her. I would NEVER think about ruining or making a scene at one of my friends wedding!

I completely agree. You may want to give her the chance to explain..but honestly...her actions said it all....sorry but thats so selfish of her to do...

She has always had a lot of issues...she got into a fight with girls at bars the night before my bachelorette party, the night of my bachelorette party and has screamed and yelled at me calling me a bad friend i recent months..>i don't know if everyone else has someone they regret asking but she is definitely mine! She was uncooperative from the start!

I think thats completely inappropriate. I would be really upset. She should have behaved like an adult and dealt with it better. At the very least she should've had respect for you and not caused a scene at your wedding. I'd be mad!

Oh I have a person I regretted asking. I had my MOH back out, which I was ok with but then I asked one friend to fill in, she would get her dress for free and all she had to do was get her shoes and pay for her trip to FL...Long story short, she waited forever...called me a heartless friend...I was so pissed. We lost $250 on their plates!

WOW can we say Tacky? What was her problem anyway? Why did she act that way? That is just crazy you have every right to feel the way you do.

Get the Steppin!

She deserves a call and stern talking to. What is she, 5!??!?! That was so immature and so uncalled for and soooo disrespectful to you. She'd get a severe tongue lashing from me!

I'd be so angry if someone did that to someone else at my wedding! I agree with everyone else, you'd think this person would be more mature than that. There's no excuse for behavior like that, no matter how she feels toward him! She should be ashamed of herself, and she should apologize to him and you... if not, you should call her and tell her off.

I agree! I can't believe that this girl hasn't even called to apologize!!! That says to me that she doen't even think there was anything wrong with this kind of behavior. I mean, temporary insanity I think I could finally forgive but to keep it going for two weeks with no apology???? I would most definitely NOT call her and if she happens to call in a few weeks, I would let her speak to my voicemail and call it a day! You don't need people like this around you. You are better off.

This is disgusting and classless.
I have no patience for that stuff. She would be done. I don't want a friend who spits in my other friends gf (who did no wrong to her's )drink

WoW! That is definetly uncalled for, and very imature and selfish of her to act like that on your Wedding Day. How long ago did they date? Man, if it were years ago, she should really move on.
His gf didn't deserve to be spit on, she probably had no idea what was going on. Maybe she had something against her? Cheating situation maybe?

Either way she should have called YOU. To explain, but she knows she's wrong when she hasn't picked up the phone bc she's embarassed.

Sorry this happened!

SHE SHOULD CALL YOU!!!! That was YOUR day,if she is YOUR friend she should have controlled herself for your sake. It sounds to me like she was waiting to jump at the chance to cause drama..as soon as he walked over to the table, she says 'get the F*** away from me?' I'm so sorry that happened to you on your day.....
