So at my wedding one of my BM whose ex boyfriend was invited (with a guest, we ain't in high school anymore, grow up!) Flipped out when he came up to her to say hi (well to be fair came up to her table to sya hi to everyone) WITHOUT his girlfriend...flipped on him, told him to get the F**K away from her and then proceeded to go up to his girlfriend and spit her drink in her face...my friend and his girlfriend had to leave..
DH says I should give her the chance to explain...I say I should say get to steppin! Am I being unreasonable? it really didn't cause a HUGE scene but my father had to eat two plates because my friend had to leave..
Just wanted to ask opinions before I called the girl (or didnt!)

umh i dont dont how you should deal with this....talk to your friend for sure and tell her she was dead wrong for acting that way on your special day....find out what her feeling were and explain to her that she could have been the bigger person and just said hi......and the poor girlfriend does she know her,,,,,it really doesnt matter it was wrong and that is the nastiest thing you could ever do to someone

I personally would find it hard to forgive her b/c that is really tacky and very immature and it was your day.

What she did was unacceptable, at someone else's affair be it a wedding, funeral, party or whatever you do not settle your issues and cause scenes its totally inappropriate....and being that she was a BM she should have NEVER done something like that

When I read this my first thought was did they sleep together recently or something?
Sometimes I think people have a 'SERIOUS' lapse of judgement and sometimes freak out! I don't know the circumstances of the situation but nonethelss she should have acted with some class at your wedding. To cause such a scene I'm not sure I would really have anything to say to her. There is such a thing as uncomfortable situations but ignoring a person or just learning to be socialble and considerate is a higher road to take. It kills me when I hear about people not knowing 'how to act in uncomfortable, uneasy or odd situations'. Let her know it was uncalled for and totally embaressing and a real friend wouldnt't have done that.

Re: I might as well ask...
I have a friend that has no class and even tho I initially invited her to the wedding, I have since moved her to the B-list (she is uninvited!) I do not need that **** the day of my wedding! And neither did you! It sounds to me like you should distance yourself from her. Sorry if you feel like your losing a friend, but it sounds like your not losing much, JMHO from what I read in your posts.

Re: I might as well ask...
seriously, drama queen should live on an island.... alone....
I wouldn't talk to her. That is childish, ruder than #ell, and REALLY selfish. Personally, I actually get a good deal of satisfaction deleting people like that from my life. To date, I've never had regrets with any of them!

I'm sorry but we are all supposed to be adults and that is uncalled for!!!
What did his girlfriend ever do to deserve being spit at!! That is completely direspectful.
Plus your friend and his girlfriend had to leave because of her.
Drunk or not that behavior is unacceptable! I can't think of an excuse that is legit for that behavior
And your Dad is a champ for eating two plates!
I agree with everything she said!!!!!

Re: I might as well ask...
that is just so.....UNCLASSY. I can't say what's right or wrong to do...I can just tell you what I might do int the same situation which is to not say anything. I AM POSITIVE that she realized what she did and is totally embarrassed by her cheesey behavior. I mean....c'mon.....to do that at A WEDDING is just soooooooo lame. Particularly when it was a relationship from sooo many years ago, and he was totally cool about it. She was very selfish not to respect your special day. She knows what she did. She'll be embarrassed about it forever. I'm not saying that you should 'forget about it' or 'let it go,' (i don't think you ever will) but I think that she will be more punished by you NOT calling her out on it than if you did.

She deserves a call and stern talking to. What is she, 5!??!?! That was so immature and so uncalled for and soooo disrespectful to you. She'd get a severe tongue lashing from me!
I agree. I think something should be said. You deserve a big apology from her.

was she drunk? If it were me, I would come to you (as a friend) and apologize. If she hasn't and knows it bothered you, then she's no friend. JMO

Re: I might as well ask...
Oh HE** NO!!!!!!!!!!! She has no class and is selfish, all she had to do is not say hi back or save the drama for later not at your wedding. And it is 11 days afte your wedding and you still haven't heard an explanation, then she doesn't should like a good friend. JMO. Even if you were on your honeymoon she could have wrote an email, mailedaletter, or left a voicemail. No Excuses. I am made for you.

Re: I might as well ask...
From your posts, this girl sounds like a total drama queen who needs to get over herself and move on with life.. your friend and his gf had every right to be at your wedding as YOUR guests and not have to leave early because of some trashy drama queen ... I don't know if I'd want someone like that as a friend... Totally disrespectful to you and your DH to do such a thing on your wedding day of all days... And she hasn't even called to apologize!! That's probably worst than her action...
