I bought my shoes!!!! woo hooo- finally I have something tangible, in my hands (or rather on my feet LOL) that I will wear to this blessed event! I am so happy.
Actually, I bought two pairs- I just have to decide which to wear. I though about wearing the more 'servicable' pair to the ceremony and the glitzier pair to the reception, but there is a height difference in the heal so I will have to take to my dress maker.
the first pair is Caparros and are as shown in the pic, which I like but they are a little too 'wedding' shoe for me.
the second is Alfani and are gold around the heal and ankle strap, which I LOVE and I could use after the wedding for going out. I like the idea of knowing every time I put them on that the first steps I took with them were toward my baby on on wedding day!

I love the second pair, expecially the heel. I am really picky about heels.

I really don't mean to be a downer but if you don't have a gown yet how do you know these shoes will match the gown you end up picking out? BTW I really like the second pair!!

Definitely #2 for the reception - goes so well with your dress!
#1 for comfort - for the ceremony - you're good to go!

the naked part refers to the fact that I am having my dress custom made- I already know what the color is and what it will look like.
here is the 'authentic' version of my dress that will be re-created for me

MY MOH and Her mother said the same thing to me...Um, it's great you got your shoes and all, but where's the dress....
HELLO - you need a focal point (yes, the dress) but you can adjust the dress to match the shoe!

that's exactly what I said to fh last night...not only that, but when she measures me for length, I will have the shoes so it will be perfect!!!!

The one thing I'm kind of sad about getting married in the winter, is that I can't wear really strappy sandals.

hey, I paid $145 for both (yes, I am eating pb sandwiches for lunch for the next month, NO, I don't regret the sacrafice one bit!) and I will FEEL a bit like Melania...and who doesn't want a little of than on their wedding day!
