I missed my flight....I am so bummed. My Husband didnt know we had to be here an hr before because it's Aruba. (international) Regulr flights are half hour. So we are just sitting here talking...next flight is 11:10. I cant wait to get to Aruba!!!!!!!!!!

Awww Well at least it's only a few hours and you were able to get on the next flight. once you get to Aruba, nothing else will matter.

DId they tell you 30 mins for domestic and 1 hour for international? i know for domestic i always do one hour and international do about 2 hours. It can take more than 30 mins just to check in, get your baggage checked and go through security, i don't know why they told you that.

lol. I guess i'm just paranoid, because i do way more than this. I'm constantly flying out to Colorado to be with the man and I'm pretty much always there 2 hours before take-off. Cause checking in can take forever, as well as going thru security. Then I need to buy a bottle of water for the plane ride, make a quick stop at the bathroom and be ready for when the doors open 30 min before take-off. There was one time that I happened to hit too much traffic and i didn't make it to the airport until maybe an hour before take-off and I nearly missed my flight. It was HORRIBLE!!! So I never take that risk ever. I am up FH's butt about this, since he's flying into NY the week of the Wedding. I will not have him be missing his flight. lol. So i keep telling him to get there 2 hours before!

I know what you mean and honestly, even for domestic flights although they say an hour, i get there over an hour before just to be safe. Ugh i am sorry that you missed it! Have a great time in Aruba, I love it there!
For international flights I arrive three hours before and domestic flights I always do two hours before. I know I am overly cautious though!

When they say 30 minutes and an hour its not for you HAVE to be checked in and should be at the gate. If you are not checked in that much time before they won't let you board. They tell you to arrive at the airport 2 hours before a domestic flight and 3 hours prior to international.

Nicole are you guys flying Jet Blue? If so leave yourself time -- they are operating out of the new terminal and it is not so organized. Also returning back to NY leave yourself plenty of time -- 3 hours.

yeah i didnt mean to be at the gate 2 hours before, i mean getting to the airport 2 hours before to check in. We usually eat and do other stuff before getting to the gate.

oh god YES!!! when i went to vegas in april, on the way back home, i had to get to the airport HOURS before. Luckily us girls had separate flights and some of the girls who had flights earlier than us told us their flights were all delayed, then changed them around completely. When we heard this we got to the airport right away. It was a big mess. The problem with jet blue is that they book too many flights on the runway at an airport so its very likely it will get delayed. My MOH and I took the same flight and luckily we didnt have it as bad as the other girls. Their flight was supposed to leave around 11am and didnt leave until about 4pm. Infact they text me saying they were still on the runway and we were boarding our flight which was HOURs after theirs. One friend they boarded them, sat on the runway for an hour and then told them to get off bc they have to get on another plane lol, it was crazy. Our was delayed too but luckily not by alot.
