I need 09 brides help

im getting married in february of 2011, what should I be doing right now? Im going 2morrow 2book the RH and ceremony location. I already purchased a package that includes flowers, pix, video, invites, dj uplighting, and 2plasma screens to show pics of the night.. i feel like i dont know where 2start. i dont wanna leave anything for the last minute. the sooner im done with everything the more relaxed i will feel. PLZ HELPPPP ((TIA))

If you're doing a package like that, and then booking the RH and ceremony ...you're really good for now! If you want to start looking in to hair and makeup, do that, but it's not a super rush. Some do book quickly though. You're in great shape!

did you find your dress yet?? thats prob the next step altho you still have plenty of time, better to get the big things like dress etc out of the way!

thanks ladies....i tried on a beautiful dress, come to find out it costs about $5k. my mom said she would pay for my dress but i dont wanna get it that expensive. i am thinking like 1500 max. do u think i can find a nice ballgown for that price? i cant wait to find the perfect dress...

I would suggest RK Bridal because they have the best prices but would suggest alterations being done elsewhere

omg i just noticed ur special day is this weekend....congrats, ur planning is almost over, how in the hell do u have time to be online, dont u have last minute things 2do??

I don't really have an answer, just wanted to say
I think you are in really good shape, but that is coming from someone who is only having a 9 month engagement, and with 52 days until the wedding, I haven't even booked limos yet!

I would say DON'T get your dress yet. . try on a bunch of stuff but the way it seems to go is most people who get them that far ahead of time don't end up liking them later . and styles change and they will come out with things you didn't even see before . so i would say don't even think of doing it until 2010. . the RH and music/photographer are the most important big things. . .you might want to do hair/makeup but that you still have time for too. . esp as you might change your mind if you want just for you or for you and BM etc

that said. .you might not want to ask your whole bridal party yet either. . I have seen so many girls on here who did and changed their minds later b/c the relationship changed and then were hurt or upset when they didn't seem invested so I would say

You are in a good place!!! You did a lot already so just hang relax, look at a lot of good bridal porn. . and enjoy not having to make decisions yet!!!

OH and CONGRATS!!

I started making folders of pictures and bookmarking websites early on. (i.e. Beach Theme, Tropical Theme, Yellow Theme, Chocolate Brown theme, Helpful LIW Brides, etc.) That way, when you finally decide, you will have gathered your resources already. I know I changed my vision so many times!

Being I wasn't even engaged that far ahead, I think you have plenty of time. The first thing we did after choosing the RH was booking the band, but you seem to have music covered. In fact you have all your big vendors done so thats all the things you do far in advance.

I would hold off on your dress, as much as you want to shop, especially if you plan on doing trendy or plan on losing weight.

Unfortunately, there is a lot you just don't want to do to early. Start thinking about your overall theme, colors, etc. Will you have a lot of OOT Guests, maybe start looking into hotels, but it might be to early to book blocks.

Take your time and enjoy being engaged.
