I think it is because I would like to back to school and receive more than just my 2 year, I do not want to be a store manager anymore

this is too funny..its like my current dream to be retail manager because i LOVE my company i work for and im never leaving until 2035 when i can retire with full pension..

so im looking to start managment training

JC Penney..i am just a hairdresser in the salon..but ive had a few meeting and im looking to start the managment program..its about a year..but i seriously can not brag enough about jc penney..it is the best company to work for..mainly because it has been around for so long (105 years) and they realyl knwo what they are doing

and a new perk..YOU NOW GET YOUR EMPLOYEE DISCOUNT AT SEPHORA!!!!

jc penney has teamed up with them and they are already starting to put sephors in some JCPs and its so exciting

Is it what you truly want? fh's friend is in retail management and now is making $300,000 a year so make sure its something you want to leave behind

yeah he worked his way up and he doesnt do store manager but now he is the north eastern district manager for armani exchange and now they offered him regional i think, i just know its the main manager of all ax stores

d*mn i wish i got into retail lol

maybe a different store would be a much better experience...we actually went to visit his wife who also is in retail management she is a store manager. well her husband, the one i talked about above, actually had left AX and went to another big company but he is going back to AX now...however she was saying how although this new job was alot more convenient the other offer was better, after he left AX they wanted him back and went after him. But i know with the new job he was able to work alot from home, they were set up through the computer and all they cared to see in themorning was that he signed on, he actually did do all the work he was supposed to lol if that were me i'd go back to sleep hahahaha.

But maybe if you look for a position at a different company you might like it alot better

OH OK i was asking bc for his kids birthday he invited people who work at AX...i know theres one somewhere near 5th ave but he probably does have to know her bc he has to go to all different stores here and there, and i know when he used to go to the one in the city fh would go visit him sometimes

but seriously look into it..they MOSTLY promote from within once you are hired as a manager and the benefits are ridiculous and pension and 401 k are even better

and the promotions come quicker then most companies ive heard..

we had a girl go from supervisor to store manager in about a year and a half..she was a friend of mine so i got to know the pay jump

($40,000 a year to $119,000 a year within that year and a half)

We are hiring advertising sales people at WALK radio... it's not an easy job, but it's fun and the people are AWESOME. You basically research businesses that would be a good fit on the station, make proposals, put packages together based on the business' needs, handle a little creative stuff (writing scripts for commercials, coordinating events and promotions, etc) It also involves cold-calling and going out on the road everyday to solicit businesses... which is not the fun part.

You have a base salary for 6 months and then you are on 100% commission- which suucks at 1st. Honestly you don't typically make more than 40K in your 1st year, but you can expect to make a little more in your 2nd year, and make a LOT by your 3rd.... FM me if you'd like any more info.
