I need encouragement!!

I need encouragement!!

I am getting extremely impatient. I feel like we are never going to married. I want to go look at dresses, but I feel like it's too soon. I have a year and 5 months to go. Does time really go by fast.. Is anyonelse really excited and really impatient?? Thanks guys!!!

There's no reason why you can't start looking now. This way you can take your time and see what you like and don't like and not feel rushed. And before you know it, the time will fly by and it will be one month before your wedding!!

Time really does fly by...I thought it was going to take forever too...and now look, it's 2 months before my wedding and I'm wishing I had more time now!!!

Go ahead, go looking at dresses...you may not want to buy just yet, but it never hurts to look and get ideas on the styles you like and that look good on you.

I only have 8.5 months but I have been impatient since the went on!!!!!!
I annoy my FI with our countdown regularly!
Although he is as impatient at me so that helps!

Ahhh!! what a relief.. I am not psycho.. just kidding.. Thanks guys.. I am going to go look at dresses.. I can't wait.. I hope time flies.. I am SO EXCITED!!!

I didn't start really meeting with vendors for my wedding until thanksgiving time last year. So it it is about that same amount of time for you!

I will tell you the past year has FLOWN by!!!! Don't rush it and enjoy the planing it is really a lot of fun if you don't let it stress you out.

The time FLIES!! Go ahead and look at dresses....it will be so fun! I got engaged in February, and I cannot beleive it has been 8 months already!! It FLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEW by!! The girls told me when I first came on here that it flies, and boy did they mean it! Enjoy all he planning....this time next year I will be a LUNATIC!!!! and almost a WIFE!

I felt like it was going to take FOREVER for the Big Day to get here. My engagement was for 13 months. The first few months do sort of drag along, and you feel SO impatient to start your 'new life.' But suddenly, everything starts to speed up and then you actually worry about running out of time!

So enjoy this time in your life. Soon it will all be a memory and when you look back you'll see how fast the time really went. You'll miss these days that were so full of hope and new beginnings. So just try to savor every moment and every day. Enjoy the planning process, and all the excitement of months ahead. This time will never come again.

Go and look at dresses!! FH and I got engaged in March and I made my dress decision in August. I tried over 42 dresses, so I'd definitely start now if I were you.

The time between March and now seemed to drag, but now with a year on the clock things are starting to speed up. Take the time now to do the little details that you won't have time for later. A few things I did early on included:

creating a MASSIVE binder with pictures so I can direct my florist/hair/makeup, etc. to do exactly what I want

BAND, BAND, BAND!! I waited and I wish I had booked this the minute after we decided on the date

poems for bathroom toilitries baskets

collect local pamphlets/info for hotel baskets

template for menus

LOGO to tie everything together

Good luck!! and keep up the enthusiasm. Do little things and then take a few weeks off from all the wedding stuff to pace your enthusiasm..

It is not too early!!! This day is something all of us girls have dreamed of since we are little. Go look at a few salons and you will see where you feel most comfortable.

I got my dress this past Jan and I am not getting married until next July. I have tried on my dress several times since then.

Enjoy shopping. It is so much fun!

thank you. I thought if I went the woman at the store would think I was crazy. I tell people I'm getting married in march 2005, and they are alwaya like 'wow, that's a long engagement' to me it didin't seem that long.. A year and half.. I guess.. 2005 just sound far, but when I think about it, it's not really that far away.. SO thanks girls.. I'm going to look at dresses..

The time will fly as you get things done.....take some time to just enjoy being engaged!! Lucky you, you have time to enjoy it...we gave ourselves 8 months and I have done nothing but stress over all of it!!

Start looking and this way you can take your time. if you find somethig you like get it. i did I got my dress in april 03 and wedding is not til july 04 but it was being discontinued and I just LOVED it!! I have never regreted it to this day. i was told dont look at other dress
(which of course i did) and still i dont like anything better

The first year for us went kind of slow but the second year flew. It seemed we went from 1 year to go to 3 months. Your day will come no worries

Go start looking - it cant hurt at all - plus chances are you arent going to find 'the one' on the first time shopping -

I am extremely impatient also - what I have been doing is planning every single detail possible for the wedding - I've printed out pictures of everything for the wedding and taped it into my 'wedding book' - I've looked online for all the possible dresses that I like and want to try on.

I have every single detail planned out and all my friends now think i am psycho bride

Dont be down - time will fly when you arent paying attention to it! If you ever feel down just fm me!!

Georgia, Thanks so much, I think it's funny because.. I too have a wedding album/planner.. I print every picture I like and put it in there. I have been planning every little detail also. It's good though.. WE can put a lot of thought into everything.

Time FLIES by. It is never to early to look for anything. Soon you'll only have a year left. I got engaged in March and I'm getting married next September. I really want this year to go by a little slow so we can save more money and make sure we make thr right decisions with regards to vendors.
