I need everyones opinion

My parents have never met FH's parents. My mom was asking if she should call his parents. Her co workers said that the grooms parents should make the call first....

what do you guys think?
( personally I dont see the difference BUT, I dont want to start any riffs!)

It doesnt matter- whoever thinks of it first- my parents just invited FMIL over for dinner and we are doing that in a couple weeks.... should be interesting lol

when we got back his family had everyone over...
