Re: I need help
Do you have an officiant and location for the ceremony? If you haven't started dress shopping you should do that ASAP as well.

Re: I need help
I'm also getting married in February. I got my place, dress, bm dresses, band, photographer, florist, videographer. Still need to get invitations, shoes, veil, etc. I'm going to be busy starting in the fall so I'm trying to get things done over the summer.

Re: I need help
i booked a florist already but I haven't decided on any specific flowers yet. Sometime in December or January we'll go in and they'll make a sample centerpiece so we could pick and choose what flowers we want.

Re: I need help
I am also getting married next February. I'm on a manhunt for unusual centerpieces. I'm also on a budget. I have been looking at flower centerpieces, however, they are pricey. I'm thinking about candles with maybe potpourri or fresh rose petals placed around them. I've been looking around and got a few ideas. Please let me know if you think of any good ideas.

Re: I need help
A videographer, BM gowns, book a florist. Try Burton's prices are great, wonderful service too. Stay with low centerpieces to help keep costs down. Also look at invites. You can get very elegant invites for a nice price.try www.mygatsby.com for some nice ones.
The small touches really mean a lot so take time to do nice, inexpensive touches for the wedding.

Re: I need help
I know some prices are really high. I was thinking maybe getting a jar with a floating candle and then decorating the outside. If you come up with anything let me know. By the way when are you getting married in February?

Re: I need help
I'm getting married on February 15. I think I want some sort of winter themed candles. I visited a place called Follow Your Heart in Lindenhurst, on Saturday and they had some great ideas for winter weddings. They had really cute pine cone shaped candles that were placed on a mirror and decorated really nicely. You mentioned floating candles (which I am considering also) - They had cylinders with a ribbon around them, with floating candles and you could put anything in the bottom of the cylinder, like a flower. It looked really nice!

Re: I need help
Hi reness,If you are still looking for a florist I would recommend mine. It's A Florid Affair (they advertise here). They are very reasonably priced. Some people get scared off b/c they do not have a showroom but that's why they are inexpensive. They have a supplier and he makes them at home. I saw a sample of my centerpiece and LOVED it. I got high ones and still SAVED!!! So I could only imagine how much low ones would save you. His name is Chris. Let me know what happens. Good luck!

Re: I need help
Renee,The Knot has a planning 'to do' list that is very helpful. It is organized by month, and as you do something, you can check it off. It is very complete and has things you would never think to do. Create an account, enter your wedding date, and the list will be created for you.
Here is a link I hope this helps.
