I need help and advise from my fellow plus size brides

Ok i am getting a little nervous... I have my dres and its awesome but its strapless and I am getting very self conscience about my arms. I have been toning and I lost weight but i am still nervous. Did anyone else feel the same way and did any one notice or say anything? Am I being foolish? Or am I going to be the only one who will really care? Help I need support!!!

THANK YOU guys soooooo much you really made me feel better!!! You are all right and the dress alone people won't be looking at my arms they will be looking at my dress .. and hair... ok and make up

This is my dress!! But instead of red it is lilac. Tell me what you think.

I'm not a fan of my arms either, so I got a dress that has short sleeves. Pics are in my album. How do you feel when you are in the dress though?. Do you have a pic of your dress? I find that you see yourself different in regular clothes than in the dress. I love the way mine fits, so I'm comfortable in it.

Mine is starpless and I am nervous also. I am tring to lose weight but it's not coming off my arms. The way I look at it is, My FH loves me so much, he knows I am not skinny( not even close) but it does not matter to him, just like I am sure it does not matter to your FH. When he sees you walking down that isle. I doubt he's going to be thinking God look at her arms. NO he will think you are the most beautiful person he has ever seen. Don't worry. Your not trying to impress everyone and there mother. He is the only one that matters. And if he cared you would not have a ring on your finger

I hate my arms...I've been toning them as well...and my dress is strapless....if you don't complain about them etc no one will notice...my gf tells me all the time...I make it worse by complaining about them....

That day everyone will only notice what a beautiful bride you are...not arms etc.

DId your gown come with any kind of a shawl or wrap? You can wear it over your arms and tied in the back. Even if it's sheer it might make you more comfortable.

I'm a Plus size Bride as well. My dress is not strapless but it is sleevless. There are times when I feel the same way you do. Just keep doing what you are doing with the toning and everything will be fine...... You are going to look Beautiful on your Wedding Day!!!!!

BIG GIRLS...REPRESENTING!!!!!

i am not afraid to admit i am a plumped up size 18 (my gown was ordered as a 22W -- but was much too big)....i've got more rolls than a bakery...and damnit..i KNOW i looked FINE in my wedding gown on the big day!!!!

i wore a strapless gown and never did anything to tone my arms up, except exercise them when i stuffed my face with ice cream! honestly, you will look beautiful on the big day, no matter what! your FH will not look at you and say 'wow, her arms look bad' he will look at you and think 'I am the luckiest man cause I am marrying HER today'

don't worry, you'll be GORGEOUS! (i was !) haha!

I have the same issues about my arms and my dress is strapless and I have no shawl or anything either...What someone above said is rigt, your fiance will think you are the most beautiful person in the world...I know that doesn't help how you feel and if you are going to be self conscious...If I can suggest something...go buy a resistance band...its better than free weights for fast toning! and if you are still uncofmrtable, maybe get a nice boler jacket made?

Good luck!

AMEN..I couldn't agree with you more

I am no big fan of my arms either. I really don't think that the first thing people will notice are your arms. What they will see is a beautiful glowing bride walking down the isle.

you are definitely not alone!
I haaaaate my arms... I hate most of my body, but especially the arms... they r huge and flabby... buuut I am still wearing a strapless gown, and when I tired on my gown I forgot about my arms and my belly and my but and I just felt like a princess. I hope I feel the same way on my wedding day ..but just incase I'm gonna start trying to tone them up a bit (probably won't make a difference though).

And I tried on some gowns with straps and sleeves and whatnot and it only made my arms look worse...like it drew attention to them.

But anyway, I think I will be on such high on the wedding day from all the excitement that I won't even give a darn and I'm sure you'll be the same way!

Hey that's my saying too, more rolls than a bakery baby!!! I second that, you'll be stunning. When I went to get my dress, I was embarassed that the gal had to help me in my gown. She said to me, I've seen it all. Your FH has asked you marry him the way that you are, so it doesn't matter. Only that he loves you for who you are not what you look like. That made me feel better. I really can't wait to wear my gown. I feel so good in it
