I know this sounds silly, but I really need some advice. I have always bought cheap towels from Walmart or Kmart, they stay nice qand fluffy through the first few washes and then they are just regular old towels. I want to buy good fluffy towels and I dont know how to buy real towels. What do I look for in buying a nice good quality towel? And then how do I care for them so that they stay fluffy. I want Biruk and Paulos to get out of their shower and have a nice fluffly towel around them, Ill bet theyve never had that before!!! Also, where can I buy good towels at a good price? I am basically very poor and dont know where to shop. I need lots of advice!!! Thanks very very very much!!

Try going to Macy's. They have Charter Club towels(their own brand). THey are fluffy and thick and I love them.
Target has decent towels(but not as thick).

Re: I need help buying towels..
I read somewhere that if you buy Egyptian cotton towels, you should not use fabric softener in them when you wash. It actually makes them less soft, for some reason.
I registered for towels at Fortunoff, I forget the brand but the store had a good selection in all price ranges. I also have a couple Hotel Collection from Macys' and they are the softest ever. Not the cheapest but they seem to be on sale often. As someone else also said, Bed Bath and Beyond has a good selection and they seem to send out coupons pretty often!

I was going to recommend the hotel brnd as well from Macys. I wouldn't buy them unless they are on sale and you have one of those coupons. THey are excellent! Good luck- I am happy you will have your children here soon.

I always like feeling the towels before I buy. I bought the nicest ones we have at Linens and Things--they are a different Hotel Collection. They were $12 each on sale and I used a 20% off coupon. We also got Ralph Lauren from Macy's but I was not impressed with them. Marshalls and TJ Maxx also always have great towels for around $8 each--Ralph Lauren, Tommy, etc. Good luck!

I love the charter club towels!! DH loves them too-SOOOO fluffy, even after washes.
Part of the secret is to also not overuse fabric softener which decreases the absorption power of the towels

Bed Bath and Beyond
Also a great tip I got from a Towel Store. Do NOT use fabric softener when you wash towels. The towel gets flat and looses its absorbency if you do.

Re: I need help buying towels..
We bought the egyptian cotton ones from fortunoff. VERY soft and fluffy. DOn'T buy a dark color though. Ours are navy and it took 6 months for them to stop levaing blue fuzz EVERYWHERE. I didn't know about the fabric softener ladies. I'm gonna stop using it
