i have to choose one more dish from these choices. which would you prefer and what do you think most people would?
a pasta (we have a choice of about 8), (already having pasta as a course at dinner but other than that, the only pasta at ch will be cold pasta salads)
a carving turkey (we are already having a carving board with steak BUT i think some people look forward to this at ch...maybe not, not sure) (besides at dinner, we are only having 2 other poultry dishes (chicken)
or
grilled shrimp skewers with vegetables (i think this is nice because its a good finger food and i think it is the most liked and popular shellfish BUT for other stations and passed hourderves (sp? no idea lol) we already have 4 fishes (3 shellfish and one regular but none include shrimp

Re: I need help picking the menu for ch food
id say shrimp, but if u think u have enough fish already,
then pasta.....we're having a vodka sauce dish served as a dinner course, before the entree....
so at CH, we're doing a tortellini alfredo type pasta...its a hot pasta dish, but with a white sauce, so its nothing like what will be at dinner!

Id say the pasta, bc you already have a lot of fish and I would pass on the turkey bc it makes people tired. (ok this might be a bit of an old wives tal or placebo affect now, but I am not taking the chances)
I always like a hot pasta station at CH..
What are the passed Hors' d'oeurves?

Re: I need help picking the menu for ch food
Personally, I'd say shrimp. I prefer 'finger-type foods' over sit down foods at CH. Especially if you're having a pasta dish, I don't think there's a need for another.

I personally dont eat it so I would go with the pasta next.

I think pasta is a good option for those who are vegetarians. Sounds like alot of the other foods are meat and fish and vegetarian options are limited

shrimp skewers unless they can do somethign bout the carving station. i did not want turkey being served at myw edding. ESPECIALLY @ CH hour. turkey makes u sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeppy.

Re: I need help picking the menu for ch food
thanks everyone!
ok so i think this is what im gonna ask them...
oh btw, there are plenty of other things for vegetarians, i just named a few things here
so there is supposed to be vegetable tempura passed around but im going to see if they could pass the shrimp instead and also have a pasta station in addition to the carving board with steak.
i agree with you guys and i really want the srimp but there is already is already baked clams passed, im choosing fried calamari which im not willing to give up, theres nothing spanish at all so fh is going with this thing called pulpo (hate the name ew) which is octopus and something else and i want a non-shellfish so im having sole oregenata. there is no other hot pasta so i might go with that if i cant do the shrimp and pasta as a substitue for something else.
