I NEED HELP..WEIRD QUESTION!

HI all..I have been thinking of unique gifts I can give to my immediate family (family I live with basically...mom, sister brother) and my mom keeps mentioning a getaway after the wedding to 'come down' from everything. I was thinking of renting a home in PA or something but its very expensive. I was wondering if any of you have any ideas that I can do with and for them. I was thinking resort for the weekend but then again where? what kind? isnt that expensive? Do you guys have any suggestions for me. I would like something maybe for a long weekned or something. Maybe even Thanksgiving weekend. I can come up with nothing at all! I know this is vague but the reason it is is because I HAVE NO CLUE WHAT TO DO!!!!!! :) Thanks in advance all!

I think if you try for Thanksgiving weekend it may be more expensive b/c of the holiday. You might want to check for another weekend in November the Berkshires or Vermont. They are not a far drive and you can usually get some good prices. It should be too early for the ski prices to be in effect and after the peak foliage. They are both really great places to relax. Or maybe even do a weekend in NYC, in a nice hotel and include dinner and a show. You may be able to get some good prices on those discount sites.

how about a nice spa weekend? www.spafinder.com has some good places that aren't too expensive per night.

did you ever think about sending them into the city for the weekend and get them broadway tix or dinner. there is plenty to do there and a bunch of nice hotels! the marriot marquise is beautiful and also the millinium!! hope i helped a little!

If you're thinking PA - how about the Poconos? I also got an advertisement in the mail for Gurneys Inn and Spa in Montauk, but then again, Montauk may not be a happening place in November...

Try calling AAA if u belong they had a great deal on a vacation get away to Atlantic city last winter with a few meals included, and a show, and hotel accomadadtions in The Tropicana. We went for a long weekend and had a fabulous time, we r not big gamblers but has fun in the nickel machines, seeing shows and walking on the boardwalk.
