I just tried a beaujolaix (its a fruity red wine, only available during the colder months) and it was quite good. I always ask the liquor store clerks what they think, maybe I should get that book 'Wine for Dummies'..

Sonoma Cutrer Sonoma Coast Chardonnay is what my FH recommends (he's in the liquor business). If you want a red...Souverain Cabernet Sauvignon.

I'm a big fan of Yellow Tail Shiraz, and I'm not even a red wine drinker. There's also a really great Riesling, but I don't know the brand off hand, I'll have to ask FH later and repost.

fh bro lovesss that one the yellow tail got him some for x mas i know nothing bout wine i drink dr pepper

Francis Ford Coppola (yes, the movie guy) makes an amazing Sauvignon Blanc. It's usually around $20ish when I buy it. Seriously, I would be happy to eat that for dinner it's such a meal like wine.
