There are so many good ones. You can start researching my looking on the Brides Review board and see how each bride rated their vendors

This is what I did:

I met with a lot of vendors. If I liked them, I did a search on LI Weddings to see what others thought of them too. What vendors do you see need to book?

Have you budgeted yet? Do you have any ideas about photos/video, live music vs DJ?

yes we have set a budget and I havn't looked for a dress yet I just lost 32lbs and have another 18 to go, then I will go for my dress. right now i'm concentrating on officiants, photog/video and I havn't decided if we want a band or a dj

What is your budget? There are vendors in every price range...read reviews on The Bride's Review board, ask friends and family for recommendations, get local bridal magazines and see if anything catches your eye. Also, halls have 'recommended' vendors, that's a good way to start...check out:

We just sent in our deposit for our band - Soul Revival. We saw them play at our cousin's wedding last summer, and they were amazing. They are a vendor on here. The band are all young guys, and played a lot of fun music, 80's, Classic Rock, Funk, Disco, everything, they have a website, www.soulrevivalband.com.
I would go with vendors on this site, they are trustworthy, and most of them can work with you on pricing. Good luck.

if you can specify what your budget is for photographhy/videography and flowers, i think people will be able to give you some suggestions as to who to look into.

And don't get overwhelmed, do one thing at a time. You have a lot of time to get it all done. It took me 2 months to find my band. I went to 14 different showcases!

we found it helpful to look at the vendors that were recommended by the hall, and we actually ended up booking the dJ and photo/video that were recommended...

I already know which band blu-ize will recommend and second them!!!

For photos I picked Laurie Studio. I love their sample pics and their personality!
