I have been thinking of colors for our June wedding, and am completely clueless. The room at De Seversky is very dark with red/gold curtains, so I think I need to stick with something more simple- like ivory or champagne. But I would like to add a touch of color. So I need something that would match the room and be suitable for a June weddings. I'm totally lost. Any help/pics would be appreciated!!

As a fellow deseversky bride in June, I didnt think of this as an issue.
I dont think it has to match the decor and coloring.
I'm having Purple and Yellow as my colors, because it's summery and it's what I like.

I originally wanted to do white and purple. But then those red/gold curtains keep popping into my head!! But I guess no one will be paying attention to them!
I like something simple like #1 or maybe #2- if i decide on purple

Also - i think people look at the decor of the room and the BM dresses/flowers and stuff seperatley. I wouldn't worry about clashing w/ the hall.... nothing seems that overly dramatic if anything i think its better to not match b/c then your vision stands out a lot more.. just my opinion though

I wanted to have green and fellow as my colors but the red curtains made me rethink it because I think of Christmas!!
I dunno though, I still may go for it since we're only having dinner in the ballroom.
I also thought of doing pink and green to go with the seats of the golden chairs.
I agree that it's not a must to match the decor of a place, more of a preference!
With such a beautiful place to start, we can't mess it up too bad. (hopefully)

I had my CPs coordinate with the colors of the room, but I didn't worry about that for BMs or BO-ks

Pink and green is pretty, and would def go with those chairs!
I agree, this room is so beautiful, I'm sure most CP's will look nice!
