I need help/advice----nails
Re: I need help/advice----nails
Do you have time to get your (real) nails done the morning of the wedding? That way you can be sure they will be chip-free! I usually chip mine too, a few days after getting them done but I plan on getting a mani the day before the wedding so I know I'll be ok. I hate acrylics too, they completely mangle my nails! Never heard of silk wraps!
Re: I need help/advice----nails
Silk wraps go over your nail and act as a second layer. They cut a tiny strip of silk-material and glue it over your nail. Then they file around and make it smooth. They aren't AS bad as acrylic, but they aren't great either. Your nails will be paper thin under them when you take them off. I'd go the night before and get a french manicure on your regular nails and ask them to put two layers of top coat to seal it in. Sit for like an hour to dry them and just think, the morning of your wedding people are working on YOU and you won't have to do much with your hands.

Re: I need help/advice----nails
my friend has been doing this thing called french tips. I can't figure it out, but they are her nails and they look amazing. they put like some powder and glue or something, maybe gel, layers over her nails. they keep her nails from breaking or chipping. they aren't wraps though... I was planning to look into it more. I think it might be a gel manicure or something like that.
Re: I need help/advice----nails
All of the fake nails are bad for your real nails but I still get the acrlyic because I love them! What is bad is when I get the nails taken off lol. I agree if you really don't want the fake nails then you should get a french manicure the day of your wedding so they don't chip. When I used to get them on my real nails it wouldn't chip the same day it would take a day or two. They stay on my fake nails for weeks at a time though!
