Ok, my mom decided to let me know this weekend that she does not really like the way I am going to be doing my hair for the wedding. Now I lost sleep over it last night b/c I was second guessing it to begin with. I was going to go with a half up/half down look (since I didn't love my hair all up at my sister's wedding) but now I am not sure. The following are pics from my hair trial. Please note that my eyes and face are not usually that swollen (I had an ear and a sinus infection). Also, my eyebrows are a nightmare there (hadn't been waxed in a while). Also, he didn't do it very tight in the trial or pin in the tiara (b/c of the ear infection) so that is why you see the loops of the tiara.
Anyway, please let me know if you like this or if maybe I should put it all up. My mom thinks the top looks too 'faggy' (her words) and doesn't 'show off my long neck' (her words again). She would like it all up but lower on my head. Please be brutally honest b/c it will really help and I can handle it. Thanks girls.
The first ones are from the top and the side and the next ones are the back and front. Thanks for your help.
ETA: WAIT A MINUTE!!!! now you added more pics!!!!! i think the other pics were at a wierd angle....i really like the ones straight on! i think it looks great!!! WHEW!!!

Thanks but I am sure there will be side pics taken of me at the wedding. I don't want to look back at those pics and not be happy. I like it from the front too but now I am not sure when I look at it from the side. I am so confused. I think I may need another trial but that means more $$ and time I don't have.

Hmmm. I'm not crazy about the top, but I don't know how to suggest changing it. I don't know what it is that I don't like.
You have such long beautiful hair that it would kind of be a shame to put it all up...maybe give the half up/half down style another shot!

i think you should really go with your gut...
when you had your trial did you love it?? is it just your mom putting these doubts in your head??
keep in mind you're also going to have the veil on top of you head!
i really do think it looks nice on you, but if you think you're not happy with it anymore, maybe you should have another trial

i def like it half up but think it is a bit too pointy on top, needs more width and fullness.

i personally like it half up and down..i have long hair and i would like to show it off for the wedding also..maybe you should do a trial with it up just to see if you like it better..i think you should go with it down though..its how you first wanted it.

Honestly...
I don't like it, but I think that is because it looks sloppy. I think if the curls looked a but more put together, then it would look a lot better.
But I agree with your mom that you should proabbly put it all up. Why not have another hair trial and see how that looks.

I really didn't feel good at my trial at all so I think I was not into it. I liked it then but have been second guessing it for a while. Now that I look back I don't remember loving it but thought it was good (you know how it gets when you feel horrible). I think my mom saying this just put the icing on the cake.
I think it may be time to go back. Anyone have any suggestions? My mom thinks I should wear it low but how do I do that with my tiara?

I don't like it. - But I know the look you're going for.......and I think it will look good on you. - I just think the person who actually did it didn't do such a great job........Maybe try someone else ?? if you're not comfortable w/ your hair all up, you're not going to be happy that day !!

I do like it but there is something about the top that is bothering me. I'm not sure what it is maybe it needs to be lower. Eitherway I do think it will look good 1/2 up 1/2 down I would just play with it a little.

It's my own fault. It is my hair guy that has been doing my hair for years. I didn't love the way he did it for my sister's wedding last year but I just never got around to finding someone else when time was running out and my mom and my sister were using him so I didn't know how not to anymore. Now we are all set to go with him. My wedding is next week! I think it is too late to cancel him. I guess I am going to have to go for another trial and hope for the best at this point.
My advice to future brides, go early for a hair trial. I wish I did.

My opinion I dont like it. I like teh ahlf up half down thing but there is something about the top I dont like. maybe it is to high. JMO dont shot me. What type of earrings are you planning on wearing? Sometimes that helps the hairdo too.
ETA if you go for another trial when you feel better it might help you on deciding. But either way Im sure youll look beautiful

Sorry, gotta agree with mom on this one. I think the curls on the top are a little too high. Maybe you could put it all up like you said. Just make sure that it is not on the top of your head. Good luck!
