Ok, my mom decided to let me know this weekend that she does not really like the way I am going to be doing my hair for the wedding. Now I lost sleep over it last night b/c I was second guessing it to begin with. I was going to go with a half up/half down look (since I didn't love my hair all up at my sister's wedding) but now I am not sure. The following are pics from my hair trial. Please note that my eyes and face are not usually that swollen (I had an ear and a sinus infection). Also, my eyebrows are a nightmare there (hadn't been waxed in a while). Also, he didn't do it very tight in the trial or pin in the tiara (b/c of the ear infection) so that is why you see the loops of the tiara.
Anyway, please let me know if you like this or if maybe I should put it all up. My mom thinks the top looks too 'faggy' (her words) and doesn't 'show off my long neck' (her words again). She would like it all up but lower on my head. Please be brutally honest b/c it will really help and I can handle it. Thanks girls.
The first ones are from the top and the side and the next ones are the back and front. Thanks for your help.

So do we think if I out it all up and a little further back on my head, it would look ok with the tiara? The following are pics of my sister on her wedding day. What if I did something like this?
I just wanted to add that I love you girls and all this help! I don't know what I would do with out you! Nobody else understands what we go through.
I think it detracts from your pretty face. THe front and top looks kind of shmooshed to me andI think needs more body to accentuate the neck your mom correctly points out is lovely and long.

I know, I know - people think we are twins wherever wo go. Nobody believes I am 4 years older than her!
I am going to schedule another trial to do it up similar to my sisters that day. We have similar hair too so maybe that will be better.

I know how it feels to switch someone who has been doing your hair for ever. My suggestion is go to a more trendy saloon and see if anyone can do it for next week. Just get your hair done their, so they only have to make one appointment.

I would need someone to open up on a Sunday morning at 5am! This wont be too easy to find I think at this point! I think I will have to go back to him and work with it until it is good.

I was second guessing mine that was half up/half down and I found another one that was all up and I think I'm going to do that one also. I like yours, but if you're not comfortable, then try to change it. You want to be happy and comfortable!

To be honest, I don't care for it half up/half down. I think it is just because of the top of the hair, the curl's just don't look right to me. If it was done tighter to your head, it may look better! Maybe he just did it really lose because you were so sick and didn't want to make your hair really tight?
I think either way you decide to go, your hair will be the last thing on your mind that day, and you will look beautiful no matter what!{

If you can't find someone by next week I would go with it all up. I say this because if he doesn't do the curls good on the bottom, your hair is going to look bad at the end of the day.(Unless you have natural curls). Just ask for big full curls on the top, and maybe get the front of your hair to part to one side and have the other sweep across your face.(if you know what I mean). Have people on here post hair pics. I would but, I cant work the computer that good

I honestly think it looks a bit too sloppy... I like it a lot better up..

I like the 1/2 up 1/2 down compared to the all up pics from your sister's wedding. IMO, the all up doesn't really show your hair. It looks like a bun, kind of plain. BUT, you can totally pull off the all up, you have pretty bone structure and an elegant neck! Hope that helps!

Thanks. It was very plain for my sisters (just a bun) b/c she got married in June and my hair can't handle humidity at all so we played it safe. Maybe if I add a little spunk to the all up do, it will be better.
The advice you girls give is priceless!
