The only thing is that most drapes/curtains, would cover up that beautiful window.. do you mind doing that? I love that window BTW..

do you need to have darkness in your room?

the reason i ask is becaue if not, I wouldnt cover up the top window. If so, they have a fan blind that will cover the half circle window.

I would definalty do a window treatment on the bottom windows. and depending on what type of privicy that you need, I would get blinds!!

We don't want to cover the arch.

I really like swags better then long bulky curtains.

Swags won't give you privacy. You could do those thin, white blinds - sort of like fabric - they are kind of like boxes if you look at them from the side view. Not sure what the material is, to be honest - or how to describe it! Sorry! Anyway, you could do those for the privacy - would still let light in - and add your swags for decoration.

ETA: Something like this - they're called Honeycomb shades.

I was going to suggest exactly the look you just posted. I love it. If you want to add color you can do tons of stuff with soft swags.

The thing is I need the bi-fold ones, since the window is so wide.

We have a bunch of those windows in our house and for the Arch Walmart had those blinds for $2.50!!! I didn't put them up yet but I think I will put those on the arch and maybe put shear fabric on them to match window treats that I will use on the bottom half.

Lisa - I am not going to cover the top.

I was thinking about it, but since it is 6 feet wide, the onepiece I saw was 200. and I really want to leave it open, to let the ligth in when I have the bottom closed

I thought the first photo was your bedroom and I was like (insert jealousy here).

I LOVE shutters! But they can also be a lot of money. Fight for your shutters
