I NEED LIW PRAYERS, STAT!!!!

So, yesterday FH calls me to tell me his boss got laid off...they had done a self-evaluation of everyone, and were looking to possibly make cuts...one of the questions was 'Where do you see yourself in 5 years?' and his boss said 'Retired' so they figured to give him the ax. They NEED someone in that position though...and FH is qualified!!! He sat down with the higher ups today to try to convince them that promoting him to that position is the best solution...they already have the money allocated so it doesn't affect the hiring freeze...and they would be saving money because they wouldn't have to pay him as much as they paid the other guy.

This would come with more money AND a benefits package (which we are dying for because neither he nor his daughter have insurance right now )

PLEAAAAAAAAAASE send us your prayers...this would make such a difference in our lives!!!!

Hope he gets it

Major prayers for Mike!!!

Crossing my fingers tooooooo!!

omg good luck!!!
i hope he gets it!

I just want to know how they're able to fire someone for that It's like your boss not being able to fire you because you're looking for another job...

But hey good for you and FH!!!!!!!!!

They were laying people off due to cutbacks, and I guess since he was looking to retire soon they figured it'd be better to lay him off than someone younger.

ETA: Apparently he semi-volunteered in January, saying that if they needed to lay off more people he'd be okay with with them terminating him.
