Slightly worried it will fall off, but never-the-less happy I need it re-sized!
I've lost 35lbs since I got it. Until now, I didn't think the weight loss was so significant it would show in my FINGERS!
My mom thinks I shouldn't get it re-sized because my fingers will swell in the summer? Do they really swell that much? I was thinking of just taking it in a quarter of the size.

wow congrats on losing all the weight... how did u do it? well my ring is a lil big in the winter but when it gets warm it fits just right... wait and see

Your fingers might swell up in the summer, but usually it's not a big difference. If the ring is really big on you and you think it might fall off, then have it resized, but if it's only a little loose, then just have those small gold balls put on the inside

Wow congrats on the weight loss!!!
I would try to get a ring guard first and see if that makes it fit better. (It's like an extra piece they line on the inside)
If it's still too big with a ring guard, then resize it.

I got my ering in March, it is a tiny bit too big. I got a temporary ring guard. All jewelers have told me don't size it until the summer when my fingers swell. My fingers swell like every other day so I'm waiting until June and then I will get those little balls put in because they see to work the best with swollen fingers.
I also heard there is some new method of a piece put in the inside that can be adjusted. It slides in and out to adjust to what you need.
Anyone hear of that?
Also, be careful about resizing my friend had her platinum ring resized and now it has cracked twice in that same spot they cut it. No one has suggested resizing to me only putting in the balls which I think come in three sizes

my platinum is cracked too and i have a bone to pick with the place since they did such a sh*tty job

Your fingers will swell during the summer but not so much that you cant get it sized. If you are worried about it being too tight have them size it down to be 1/4 bigger then what you would be happy with and flatten the bottom of the band-this will keep it a little bigger but snug enough that you wont worry about it

go to claires they have these lil plastic bands that you put on with your ring that just fills in the extra space ... ask sparklingbride on the 10 boards she has them

Thanks girls I think I'm just gonna get something to put on the ring and wait till the sumemr to resize it. (And hopefully by then I'll lose more weight!)

Congrats on 35 lbs!!! My ring was a bit big and the jeweler put a flexible guard in it...if my finger swells it still fits! He did not want to cut the ring. Maybe you can ask around at trustworthy jewelers.

I have the balls inside of mine. they are great...you might want to try that because there is no cutting.

That's what I did...they work fine for me. Although......Some people find it annoying...

Congrats on the weight loss!!!!!!!!!!! I had balls inside my ring for a little while and it was still too big so they actually cut it and made it smaller... I watched them cut my ring with a small saw- my heart stopped beating for a min! But now it's great!!!!!!! It does get much smaller in the summer when my fingers swell, but not so small that it wont go on... just won't come off haha no, seriously, it will come off- just takes some pulling in the summer time when my fingers are swollen. But I am much happier that I don't have to worry about losing it!

I lost 45 lbs and had to get it resized. I asked about ring guards and they said that I had to go down, the ring guards wouldn't help. So i went down half a size and it is still big!! I would go to the jewelers and ask their opinion!
