I need opnions

Morning Ladies,

ok i want some people HONEST opinions.
I let FH pick out what were doing for wedding favors ( i know risky right LOL) so i told him that I wanted to do something along the lines of wine bottles or something like that. So he told me yesterday that he made an appt for us on Sunday to go and make our own mead(for those who dont know what that is its furmented honey that you drink thats very good.) So you go and brew your own recipe they furment it and then you go back in 2 months and bottle it and they give you ladels and tags for FREE. I thought that was pretty cool to do something speacil for us and the guests. And theres a whole story behind it like that back in ancient times couple made mead before they go married to bless thier marriage for life and they were suppose to have enough mead until the next lunar moon so that where the term Honey-moon comes from. My thing is its 300 bucks for 75 bottles and you have to go to jersey to do this and then go back and get it. finally my question after this long story IS... IS IT WORTH IT? HONEST ANSWERS

i think that's actually really cute..but i would def. include something that explains the story of mead..

I think that's a pretty good price! And it sounds special for you and your FH.. I would do it! If you don't want to go to NJ, is their a place to do the same thing out east?

I think if it's in your budget, I would go for it, because that is a unique idea.

I do agree with the above comment though that you should include a little tag around it or something to explain the story of mead.

Yea my FH didnt give me a budget for the wedding. but im trying to keep everything in resonable prices. yea thats why they give you tags so you can put the story on them

I think that is a great idea! You two are making it yourself, which is a nice experience for the two of you. I agree with the previous posts, maybe include a story about Mead. But, I think you should efinitely consider telling the story about how you guys made it together or just the fact that this creation was made personally by you guys.

When I was reading your post, I thought what a wonderful idea...I would love to do something like that! I think that its special and different. I would look into something out east though. Jersey is far but if not, make a little roadtrip out of it.

I LOVE the idea. My theme for the wedding is Irish - Italian traditions. So the Mead idea is great! I say go for it!

I think its really cute!!! That's really not that much for such a personal favor like that. I would include the story of mead as well...that way people will appreciate the favor even more! He's def got classic good taste!

Its not a budget buster, and adds a nice touch to a favor. I think you should put the story on the back of the label of the mead.

Can you give me the info on making mead? Do you have to make enough for 75 bottles? FH LOVES mead and this sounds like it would be a great b-day present for him! Can you FM me with info?
