i think that's actually really cute..but i would def. include something that explains the story of mead..
I agree. If you can afford that price, then definitely go for it, because that is such a cute idea. I LOVE unique wedding favors. It's so tiring when everybody just does the same old thing.
But yes - definitely try to include the explanation of Mead with them if you decide to have it. I've never heard that story before, so at first I was like 'What?? Honey?' but after reading your explanation - OMG, how precious!

I think thats a great and cute idea. If you think about it, its like $4 a favor that is personalized and its made by you and your FH. If you need more than 75 it can get pricey but maybe you can work out a deal with the distiller. I really like the idea and I say go for it if it fits your budget.
I also agree that you should include the significance of the mead.

It still sounds a bit too much to me in terms of pricing and making a trip down there. If you go to a liquor discount/wholesales, not only will they cut you a deal but it would be a lot cheaper buying it by bulk/cases. It's a lot of work and money wasted particularly if you have to travel there and bring all those bottles back. I would say go for it if you are really happy with the idea of doing something different for the favors and delivery isn't a problem but having to go all the way down to NJ and bring it back is not a short trip.
