I need prayers & strength more than ever...

Hi ladies, sorry for the long post, but I haven't been on the boards all week. I've had the hardest week of my life. On Tues. morning my Dad called me at work to tell me that he was on his way to the hospital b/c my Grandfather got hurt. At this point I am thinking, ok, no big deal, he always falls & bruises himself, he must have fallen again. He is a stubborn Italian man who can't sit still for a minute. When I asked what happened my Father hesitated, I asked again, what happened. My Father's voice cracked & he said 'Pop was hit by a car'! I immediately began to cry! My Grandfather walks to the store every morning to get his newspaper & play lotto, its only across the street from both our houses. My Father calmed me down & told me to meet him at Westchester Medical Cntr. I called FH, I was so scared, & told him what happened. He left work & came to pick me up. When we had gotten to the hospital I could see my Dad at the end of a very long hallway, just at that point I saw someone in a white coat talking to my Dad, & then my Dad laid his head and his hands. I began to cry hysterically b/c I knew at that point that my Grandfather had died. My Grandfather was a spunky Italian man who's life was taken from him and our family! Words cannot describe the pain that I feel in my heart.

I don't know how I am going to get married without him there, especially b/c our wedding day is my Grandparents 60th Anniv. Please pray for me & my family to make it through. My Grandfather was so excited for my wedding & my cousins who is 3 weeks before me. Please tell your loved ones everyday how much you love them, its something we said to each other each and every day!

Ohmygosh, I am so sorry to hear this!!!! My heart goes out to you and to your family - how devastating. I can only offer you lots of hugs, date twin!

OMG...I am so so sorry to hear that, my prayer is with your family.
I know it is hard, but maybe you can do something in the wedding to remember your grandpa. Such as put a table with his picture and candle on it .
Again I am so sorry for your lost, hope you and your family will feel better soon.
