I work at a childrens hospital and actually saw a patient who has this very rare condition...i wish your cousin the best of luck and hope the transplant is a success!

oh so sorry to hear this but so glad she is first on the list. . that is very fortunate. . and makes me think how important it is to do organ donors! to you and your family. . I'm sure that all will go well..

My sister works at Columbia doing heart, liver and lung transplants. She is in good hands,that hospital is the BEST, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. It looks promising that she is first on the list.

i'm so sorry to hear that about your cousin. thank god she is so high up on the donor list and i sincerely hope it is quick that a donor is found and that she makes a quick recovery. i'll continue to pray for you and your cousin and family.

She is more alert today and is getting slightly better. She will be getting the eye test today to confirm that Wilson's disease is what she has. Regardless, she does need the transplant. She is still first on the list.

OMG that's SHOCKING!!! I'm soooo sorry to hear about this. I hope things get better and she gets a good donor. My thoughts are with you and her. I just told my MOH about this post... she is sitting right next to me.

Well, as much as you may not want her to have a transplant, she needs it--this is what is going to keep her alive. And I bet the thing she's most disappointed about is not being able to make the wedding. Is there something special you can do for her at the wedding even though she won't be there?
