I am really sorry!! Like all the girls said, don't worry yet.. you still have time. Call them after the 5th and ask if they are coming.. sometimes people just don't send the RSVP back right away or they could have forgot cause of the holiday.
I fing it weird that only 1 of FH's aunts and uncles are coming from Maryland... I mean its not THAT far away and I understand $$ might be tight but thats family
Anyhow don't be upset.. no matter how many people are there its going to be your day and its going to be amazing!

Re: I need some advice
I'm so sorry to hear about this! People will respond late. That's just how it is. I gave people 2 months to RSVP, and some people (including close family memebers) didn't RSVP until or at all! Some of them it didn't matter because I knew they were coming, but other people we had to track down and email and call and hound them for an answer. And I still have 3 people I haven't heard from and the wedding is 2 1/2 weeks away. So stuff happens.
I would start to hunt down these people now. It takes a lot to call and re call people. And for some people they are coming and either lost the RSVP or forgot to do it. As you start to call them, even if you don't get them on the phone or via email RSVPs will magically start appearing in your mailbox.
Worse comes to worse invite LIWers!

Oh sweetie Im so sorry! I was just thinking about you yesterday while doing my guest list with FH. We dont think we are even going to make our minimum of 75 people. Hopefully most of the poeple who didnt respond yet will respond yes. If not, you can always ask some of the girls that you are friendly with on here.

Re: I need some advice
Awww, don't stress yet. I bet a lot of people will be RSVP'ing late due to all the busyness and the confusion with the holidays. People get caught up this time of year with so many social obligations, holiday shopping and all that stuff that they probably just overlooked the date. Wait until the 5th and then start calling them, I'm sure you will have a lot of people saying that they forgot, and although it's rude of them to be late it does happen this time of year. Hang in there! Everything will be fine

Hun I am SO sorry. I would def pick up the phone and start calling. That's what I would do.
And if that doesn't work, there are many 09'ers who would be more than willing to go I bet!!!!!!

Re: I need some advice
Thanks for all your advice girls! I am trying to stay hopeful. I am also trying really hard not to let it bother me. It really shouldn't matter how many people we have there. All that matters that day is Jordan and I.
If it comes to it....is there anyone on here who is willing to come to our wedding. I know I have NEVER met any of you in person b/c I have missed all the gtgs. However if there are any of you who want to come, please let me know. I don't really know how it works but if any of you have any interest in coming please let me know! Thanks for all you have done and said to help me through this lil rough spot in our planning!

Re: I need some advice
Honestly if I was FH's mom or dad, and these were my brothers and sisters not coming. I'd say something. Maybe they can offer to put them up in their house.

You may still make it sweetie! People are always late...def follow up right away then...after that call the rh right away to see what they can give you...and if you still have plenty of space...INVITE US...LOL I am sure some LIW girls would love to come!
ITA!!!!!!!!!!! Jess my a$$ would be on that dance floor all night!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But really I'm sorry you are going through this. I know people RSVP very late and its still the holiday season and soooo many people rush around to get that stuff done they kinda forget about everything else. I'm sure you will hear from people soon.

I'm so sorry!!! At this point, I would def start making the phone calls...at least then you'll know enough in advance to start trying to bargain with the RH.
I'm so sorry

Re: I need some advice
So many people respond late and some people actually forget to respond. Don't stress about it until you actually see your final count. You might have to start calling these people. You will have an amazing day no matter what!!

Re: I need some advice
Seriously, I think I responded in your previous thread about this. We invited 288 people to our wedding and 191 are coming. We made our minimum by one person. And I had to do a LOT of legwork to ensure that that happened. Most of my extended family did not respond at all, and that was after I had called them repeatedly. At this point, I put them all down as no's and if they show up I'm going to have to turn them away because it's just rude. You have time, trust me. You are going to be getting RSVP's back late. And you are not going to get some back at all. You are going to have to call people, and some of those people are not going to call you back, it's very frustrating and disheartening. This is when you learn who your REAL friends are and who really cares about you. I know it sounds sh!tty to say, but, it's the truth. People who I definately thought would be coming, said no. With no explanation whatsoever. Don't let it get you down. If you are below your minimum, more than likely your RH will compensate for that. They will throw in extras for you. Plus, you can count your vendors towards your minimum instead of paying the reduced rate for them. Don't stress! It's not worth it. You have time. Everything will work out.

Re: I need some advice
I'll be there, and I'm coming from Philadelphia. Your Maryland people should be ashamed of themselves. That just is not right.
Seriously, wait until your RSVP date. Then make calls. If you don't fill up, I would love to be a guest at your wedding!! DON'T BE UPSET. THE ECONOMY HAS TAKEN THIS OUT OF YOUR HANDS. These people probably really can't afford it, and don't want to slight you in any way.
And if they can't make it, I say LIWers at table #9! I apologize in advance for us getting unruly.
