My fiance and I are having the hardest time figuring out where to go on our honeymoon. We're getting married in August so we can't go to the carribean or bahamas because of hurricane season. Europe too isn't great because it's very crowded and unbearably hot, from what I read.
Does anyone have any other ideas?

I am booked for the Carribean and am an August bride. I talked to a TA about it. He said he has people go there every August. They do suggest getting travel insurance though incase it has to be postponed or if you are going to a Sandals they will honor the reservation at another location to avoid any storms.

Yes, you can definitely HM in August but there is always that chance. I was on a cruise when Katrina was forming and really felt it the last day at sea. This summer was pretty quiet though.
If you'd really like to steer clear, cruise to Alaska as PP mentioned. I went in June and it was AWESOME, truly an experience.
