Hey 11ers! I'm hoping you can help a newlywed out . My BIL just got engaged to a wonderful person on Christmas Eve! I'd like to get her a basket of goodies to let her know how excited I am to have her in the family...nothing too crazy, but fun things. So far, I was thinking of a couple of wedding magazines, a DVD or two of wedding themed movies, and a binder to help her plan. What else should I throw in there? I got married a year ago, and--though I LOVED planning my wedding--I think planning a wedding escaped my mind because I'm enjoying married life so much .
Thanks, ladies .

Re: I need some help from you lovely ladies!
one of my friends gave me a folder than has clear plastic sleeves in it.. it wasn't wedding themed (though i did get like 5 of those wedding planning binders). That plain folder has been the most helpful thing to me so far. I just rip pages out of magazines and put them in the pages... it's just perfect!

Thats so sweet!!! As far as the binder goes if you want to put tabs in it I've rearranged mine a couple times and I've found the most helpful sections to be: Inspiration/Pics (could be broken down further if you want), Vendors/Contracts, Travel Info/Reservations, and Receipts. I cant really think of anything else to include in the basket but I'll let you know if I do.

aww cograts!! sounds like you have some great things to put in there.
i got a wedding etiquette book (from crane stationery) - can look up the exact title when i get home if you want. Anyway...at first i thought i would never look at it but find myself constantly referring to it for things (invitation wording, and addressing)
One thing I was missing (until i got it as a christmas gift) was a ring holder...something like this... ring holder
