I need some help here, I am freaking out!

Original post by LauderLady

So, I sent out my invitations last week and at least 4 people have asked me if the thirteenth was during Columbus Day weekend? Uh, I'm getting married the thirtieth not the thirteenth! What should I do, send some sort of note clarifying the date of the wedding is October 30?

We misread someone's invite for the 13 that was the 30, we figured it out. So, they'll show up on the 13th realize no one is there and comeback on the 30th.

yup i am having this from tons of people calling to ask me why i am having it in the middle of the week - then i point out it is 30th - and they are like ohh yeah - guess i didnt read that right...
personally as people call i am telling them - if they dont i figure they are intelligent enough to figure it out

Oh my goodness, can people just pay attention to what they are reading? LOL. I think they will realize when they see it is on a Wed.- if they don't call you, they will ask someone else they know who is invited, don't worry about it.

I had a similar freak-out when I got my invitations b/c I have a reply date of Oct 23rd, but with the font we used, it looks like Oct. 28th and that means (in theory) I will get them almost a week later. Then I realized the people who send them back on time are going to anyway and the lame-os who can't I am going to have to call either way, so I guess it is not such a big deal.

I guess the 2 words look somewhat alike...if someone thinks its the 13th they will see it's a wednesday and probably look at the invitation again to clarify that...
