I need some serious serious advice!!!

I am scheduled to have a small surgery on monday at 745 am. Yesterday, My husnband comes home with a letter from his job saying that as of June 1( meanwhile we get this letter in the 4th) that our insurance has switched and we will be getting cards in the mail with a new insurance company. I call my Doctors office this morning, they no longer take my new insurance, my new insurnace isnt open on wekeends so we cant even call to see if they'll approve me to still have the surgery...my doctors office said what my husbands job did is illegal...I am freaking out...really freaking out. Iasked what this would cost for us to just pay for it out of pocket and they said thousands because its in a hospital ,anesthesia is involved...im freaking out.....what do i do????HELLLLPPPPPP

well, any kind of surgery can be scary....hell, i was almost in tears when i had to bring my cat to the vet when they had to put him under anesthesia to pull out a tooth!!!

hahaha.. I DID cry when I took my cat in for surgery to pull out a tooth!!! You and I Think alike..Im terrified to be knocked out..Dh took off..so I wont be alone...how bad can it be. Atleast when its over..Ill finally get a good nights sleep!

I am confused..nothing new, but if you are having this surgery at the hospital than it should no be an issue. They will mail you a bill..DONT FREAK. Submit it to your primary care physician (as stated on the insurance) and they can take care of it. My insurance company called North Shore and told them to disconnect me from the IV's and send me home, my primary care physician refused and told them he would deal with them later. When you are in the hospital whether it be the ER or surgery and it is truly medically neccessary than it can be resolved. Calm down..don't let your blood pressure skyrocket..and it can be resolved.
