So I bought this French Connection dress for an event Im going to tonight. How should I dress it up?? Im a tomboy and dont know how to dress myself!

I would just dress it up with jewelery - some dangly earrings and a matching necklace. . .depends on what kind of event

Its a music business event. I like the different color shoe thing but should I wear a different color shoe and then match the accessories to my shoes??

Someone told me to do red shoes! I think I may just do that. Only thing is, Id have to go buy some. Only red shoes I have have a peep toe and I dont know if thats kosher during the winter.

I would stick to white or yellow gold...
If you try to match the accessories it may end up looking costume-y...

you'll see many people at events who wear sandales and peep toe in the winter.

Red shoes will be great - and peep toes are perfect for winter. I also would do a great dangly earring and a satin or metallic evening clutch...

How bout gold shoes with gold jewelry. That's easy to do...maybe som gold bracelets with dangly gold earings...it will be hot!

Here is a simple rule -- accessories should coordinate not be matchy matchy.
If you do red shoes go with a plain bag. If you do a big earing don't do a necklace.
If it were me -- I would do red shoes and a black satin clutch. A chandelier earring and a chuncky bracelet.
Music events are usually more funk then formal. So have fun with it and have fun tonight!
