I need some suggestions...

We are going to pick out our invites next week, and I still don't know how to word them! My fiance and I are paying for most of the wedding, with help from his parents and my mom. How would you word that properly? My dad will be invited, but he is not helping with the costs.Help!! Continued success to all...

As you look through the invite books you may come across wording that matches your situation. You can also look at the online invite sites that offer suggestions. There are a few books at Barnes and Noble that run through many different scenerios and how to word the invite. I believe it is (but please check) Jody Smith and John Jones along with Mrs. Betty Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Jones request the etc etc etc.

My FI and I are paying for most of the wedding with help from my parents. His parents have not contributed anything but we still felt that they would be hurt if their names were not included. (also his parents are divorced). This is what we wrote: Jane Doe and John Smith together with our parents Mr and Mrs. Michael Doe and Ms. Jennifer Smith Mr. Thomas Smith invite you to share....

We are also paying for the wedding and we are not including our parents names. You can also put: Together with our families Ms. Jane Doe and Mr. John Smith ... Or: The honor of your presence is requested at the wedding of Ms. Jane Doe to Mr. John Smith

suggestion...

Like someone else said you may not want to put any parents names at all....but I would check with the parents that are helping out first to see how they feel about this.

What about.....

We are paying for most of the wedding. My mom gave us our gift early to help with the costs. His father and stepmother offered to make the rehersal dinner. I don't want to leave my mothers name off the invite since her gift was very generous. He won't put his step mother's name on the invite (they dont get along to well and they weren't married until FH was 20). I know we can't just put his father's name, would it be awful to leave them both off?
