My younger sister (18) is really sick with tonsillitis etc - she is a mess!
I went online to 1800 flowers and saw a cute arrangement with a bear for $14.99 - well with shipping and all it came out to $35 and change!!! That's more than double!
Well I am not cheap but I do have a wedding to pay for in a month - so any suggestions that I can send to her?

Don't order anything from 1800 flowers. They are so CHEAP with the flowers and the sizes of stuff. I ordered a 'get well' bear for my MIL when she was in the hospital. The thing was 50 bucks after all was said and done. It arrives and it was the size of a beenie baby!
Can you get to a local florist? They can put together a balloon arrangement for a lot less!

Maybe send a bouquet of balloons? or Vermont teddy bear(I don't know how much they are?)

Vermont Teddy Bears are around 50-60.....go for the balloons or a local florist (or try www.proflowers.com) what about a basket of magazines, books, videos, etc. I feel her pain...I had that back around Valentine's day and relapsed a month later...sat in the dr's ofc with 104 fever and couldn't get out of bed for 3 days...they misdiagnosed me 3 times....one dr even told me there was nothing she could gvive me cuz it wasn't strep. I ended up getting my tonsils out (one heck of a recovery but well worth it!). I wish her the best....tell her lots of fluids.....Good Luck!!

the best way to send flowers is to find a local florist...then you won't get charged the middle man price...
a side not on 1800 flowers...at both my grandmothers AND gradfathers funerals two different people tried to use 1800flowers (that didn't attend the funeral) and they never snet them...I guess they figured if the people don't come...the grieving family doesn't pay attention...well the first time it was from m y moms friend...and she asked about the flowers...and second time it was from my BILs parents...but my BIL was at the funeral and he looked for them!!

Nice idea lisa....but with tonsillitis the poor girl can't get food down...I'm sure her throat is severely swollen (I was sick with the same thing awhile back!) She needs ices!! Get her a gallon bucket of ices!!!
