i need to cancel a vendor ... how do i do it?

i need to cancel a vendor ... how do i do it?

How do i tell a vendor that I need to cancel them (i found a vendor who gives me twice as much stuff for cheaper)?

Should i just cancel with the vendor and tell them the truth? try to negotiate with them to get the same (or similar) deal? otherwise?

I'd give him the chance to match it.. unless its a vendor you will be interacting with a lot and you like the other vendors personality more?

If you LOVE the original vendors work, I would be honest and try to negotiate a better price with more for your money from the original vendor. I did this with my photographer whom I adore and it worked out great.

If you prefer the second vendor (the new one) then read over your contract and make sure you're okay and then call the Original vendor and tell him, unfortunately you're looking to go another direction so you have to cancel.

I thinnk honesty is defintely the best policy. Don't burn bridges when you can avoid it...HTH

Try to negotiate with them ... Let them know that you have found someone who is giving you a much better deal and youre looking to either have them match it or you need to go with the other option. If you do it on a manner that shows you really want to use the vendor that you already have booked but for economical reasons you cant unless they can match the other offer than you may get what you want from them. I have to think they would give you the same deal if they want to keep the business.

But - did you sign a contract?

yes i signed a contract and paid a deposit BUT even with the lost deposit, the other vendor is still cheaper.

we'll see what she says .... i won't be heartbroken either way

call em and tell em why u want to cancel with them... and if they can do better, then great! if not..... just cancel with em and go with the better deal from the other vendor.
